What Is Youtube 2022

What is YouTube

YouTube is an online video sharing platform owned by Google and launched in 2005. The name of the website is based on YouTube, an audio file hosting service created by Noah Webber, which was acquired by Google in

February 2003. Since its launch, YouTube has become a haven for amateur and professional video creators, who upload and view countless videos daily. YouTube has countless

applications, allowing users to upload and share videos on different platforms such as Android and iOS mobile devices, Windows and MAC computers, Sony PlayStation and Nintendo consoles, VHS tapes and even camcorders.

YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim in March 2005 in San Diego, California. The original intention of the website was to be a place for people to upload and view videos. The website was launched with a series of external beta tests, before being

publicly released on February 14th, 2005. Within three days of its launch, over 100 videos were uploaded to the website. At first, YouTube was only available at the university campuses of California, Stanford, UCLA and UC Berkeley. A week later, Google made an offline version of YouTube available to the general public. Over

time, most internet service providers (ISPs) allowed access to YouTube without any additional charges. Since its inception, the website has grown exponentially currently boasting over one billion monthly viewers.

Advertisers have driven YouTube's success beyond the reach of competing platforms. Many new creators join the platform every day with a variety of different ideas and concepts.

However, there are only so many ad spaces on YouTube- every new video creator must contend with high ad rates to succeed on the platform. This means that unlike other social media sites where anyone can post content without restrictions, only official channels with verified accounts can upload videos to YouTube.

Thankfully for new creators looking to gain popularity quickly on the website, there is a great deal of advice readily available online from experienced Youtubers. Subscribers can also follow their favorite channels and receive regular updates about new uploads. Essentially, YouTube is an extremely friendly place that encourages creativity and encourages everyone to succeed with hard work!

Despite widespread criticism  it's a haven for offensive videos targeting young audiences, YouTube is an undeniable global phenomenon  constituting one out of ten web traffic sources worldwide! Its exponential growth since its

inception has been fueled by advertisment

seeking platforms for their business outreach efforts but also by diligent amateurs seeking new inspiration or entertainment. There's no doubt that YouTube will continue to be a primary source of creative media for years to come!
