what is kahoot and how to use it

Kahoot is an online learning platform that allows teachers and students to create, play, and share interactive quizzes, surveys, and discussions. It is widely used in classrooms, training sessions, and social gatherings to engage participants in a fun and educational way.

To use Kahoot, follow these steps:

  1. Create an Account: Go to the Kahoot website (https://kahoot.com) and sign up for a free account. You can also use your existing Google or Microsoft account to log in.

  2. Create a Kahoot: Once you're logged in, click on the "Create" button to start making your own Kahoot. You can choose to create a quiz, survey, discussion, or even a combination of these.

  1. Customize your Kahoot: Add a title, description, and cover image to your Kahoot. Then, start adding questions, answer options, and correct answers. You can include images, videos, and other media to make your Kahoot more engaging.

  1. Set Options: Customize the game settings according to your preferences. You can set a time limit for each question, enable or disable the leaderboard, and choose whether participants can see the correct answers after each question.

  1. Save and Publish: Once you're done creating your Kahoot, save it and give it a name. You can choose to keep it private for your personal use or make it public to share with others.

  2. Play a Kahoot: To play a Kahoot, you have a couple of options. If you're a teacher, you can launch a live game in a classroom setting by projecting it on a screen and having students join using their devices. Alternatively, you can assign the Kahoot as a homework challenge, allowing participants to play it at their own pace.

  1. Joining a Kahoot: To join a Kahoot, participants will need a device with internet access. They can visit the Kahoot website or use the Kahoot mobile app. They will be prompted to enter the game PIN provided by the host and input a nickname. Once everyone has joined, the game will begin.

  1. Play and Learn: Participants will see the questions on their screens and select the correct answer from the options provided. Points are awarded based on accuracy and speed, adding a competitive element to the experience. At the end of the game, the leaderboard displays the top performers.

Remember to have fun while using Kahoot! It's a versatile tool that can enhance learning and create an interactive and engaging environment.
