Capturing the Entire Screen:

To capture the entire screen, follow these steps:

a. Make sure the screen you want to capture is visible.

b. Press the "Command" (⌘) + "Shift" + "3" keys simultaneously.

c. You will hear a camera shutter sound, indicating that the screenshot has been taken.

d. The screenshot will be saved on your desktop with a filename starting with "Screen Shot" followed by the date and time.


Capturing a Selected Portion of the Screen:

If you want to capture a specific area of your screen, use the following steps:

a. Make sure the portion of the screen you want to capture is visible.

b. Press the "Command" (⌘) + "Shift" + "4" keys simultaneously.

c. Your cursor will change to a crosshair reticle.

d. Click and drag the crosshair to select the area you want to capture.

e. When you release the mouse button, the screenshot will be taken and saved on your desktop.


Capturing a Specific Window:

To capture a screenshot of a specific window, use these steps:

If you want to capture a screenshot and save it to the clipboard instead of your desktop, follow these steps:

a. Press the "Command" (⌘) + "Control" + "Shift" + "3" keys simultaneously to capture the entire screen.

b. Press the "Command" (⌘) + "Control" + "Shift" + "4" keys simultaneously to capture a selected portion of the screen.

c. Press the "Command" (⌘) + "Control" + "Shift" + "4" keys simultaneously, then press the spacebar to capture a specific window.

d. The screenshot will be saved to the clipboard. You can paste it into an image editing application or document.

a. To capture a screenshot of the Touch Bar on MacBook Pro models, press the "Command" (⌘) + "Shift" + "6" keys simultaneously.
